Meet the Author: David Paris

Educator & Leader

With over 30 years of experience in the New York City Department of Education, David Paris served as the SEL Director of the largest middle school in Brooklyn. His classroom was a hub of creativity, emotional growth, and student empowerment.

Author & Creator

David is the author of 16 Social Emotional Learning books and the founder of DavidParisBooks.com. He has also created multiple online SEL courses that continue to inspire educators and families across the country.

Community Builder

As a facilitator with NYCNVC.org, a circle keeper with Planning Change, and a trainer with AVPUSA.org, David leads powerful workshops in non-violent communication, conflict resolution, and emotional literacy.

Performer & Finalist

Outside the classroom, David is a seven-time acrobatic dance champion, co-director of Paradizo Dance, and a finalist on America’s Got Talent. His dynamic presence energizes both the stage and the learning space.
