David Paris is the author of 16 Social Emotional Learning books and the founder of DavidParisBooks.com. With three decades of experience teaching in New York City public schools, he served as the SEL Director of the largest middle school in Brooklyn. David is also a group facilitator trained in Nonviolent Communication (NYCNVC.org), a circle keeper with Planning Change, and a lead trainer for the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVPUSA.org). Outside of education, he is a seven-time acrobatic dance champion, co-director of Paradizo Dance, and a finalist on America’s Got Talent.
